8 pieces (chicken parts) leg, thighs, tenders (your choice)

1 ¼  cup buttermilk

2 cloves garlic, grated

1 tsp kosher salt

1 tsp freshly ground pepper

1 tsp smoked paprika


Dry Mixture:

1 cup all purpose flour

½ cup cornstarch

1 tsp salt

1 tsp pepper

1 tsp paprika

Wet Mixture:

2-3 egg of water

2 tbsp of water



1 lemon

1 Tbsp fresh parsley

1 Tbsp fresh thyme


  1. Combine marinade ingredients together and place chicken parts in marinade in bowl or zip lock bag. Let marinade overnight (or minimum of one hour).
  2. Brush Airfryer pan with olive oil (or cooking spray).
  3. With hands or tongs, remove one chicken part at a time from marinade, shake excess marinade off, then roll into dry mixture until all of wet parts are completely covered.
  4. Next, roll into egg mixture again, ensuring every part of chicken is completely covered.
  5. Finally, place back into dry mixture rolling again until completely covered .Shake excess flour and place into Air fryer.
  6. Spray or brush any dry spots with oil again. Repeat steps, making sure not to overcrowd the Air fryer basket!
  7. Cook at 350-degrees for approximately 30 minutes.
  8. After 15 minutes, open Air fryer, remove basket, using tongs to flip each chicken part over and close basket.  Cook chicken approximately another 15 minutes or until internal temperature reaches 160-degrees.
  9. Garnish with fresh lemon juice and fresh parsley and thyme.


Tip:  Once in a while check Air fryer, if there are any dry spots, cover with oil and resume cooking.
